The Original Lineup
The Nervous Ticks were formed in Emerson, GA in December of 2000 by Mike Green, Greg Hill and Duane Bargiel. The three co-workers discovered they shared a love of music, especially classic rock, and were happy to lend a hand when their company needed some live music for its Christmas holiday party. Named by the company’s marketing department and based on its heritage of consumer products manufactured for home pest control, the Nervous Ticks also performed at various open mic clubs in the Atlanta area and at charity fund raising events in 2005-2006. The band reunited for two church-sponsored fund raisers to benefit missions in February and November of 2013.
In 2018, the band, comprised of Greg Hill, Duane Bargiel, Eric Chism, Greg Pauker, and Greg Losh, began recording some of its original material. Lead guitarist, Greg Pauker, returned home to Canada in September, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Live performances by the Ticks resumed in July of 2021 after the reduction of COVID restrictions.
